Alligood Song Architecture PLLC is an architecture and urban design firm led by Douglass Alligood and Jin Young Song. Douglass Alligood brings over 40 years of experience across a wide range of projects and typologies. His design approach prioritizes the user’s needs and considers the broader context of each project within the community, supported by his technical expertise in both design functionality and building performance. Jin Young Song, an Associate Professor at the University at Buffalo's Department of Architecture and a registered architect in New York, specializes in sustainable building envelopes, the socio-cultural performance of facades, and participatory interactions with novel construction prototypes that explore human perception.

With offices in Buffalo and New York City, ASA is dedicated to “listening” to people, aiming to uncover untold stories through the lens of the user and the site. Our commitment to design excellence is rooted in a research-driven approach to architecture that combines technology, aesthetics, and human perception—ultimately creating a narrative told by the people who inhabit the space.
